Anakin welcomes the opportunity, as he often becomes angry and frustrated by Obi-Wan's criticism and is glad to have an opportunity to be on his own. Meanwhile, Anakin continues his task of protecting the Senator and is asked to escort her back to her home planet of Naboo. Returning to the Jedi Temple, Obi-Wan is assigned by the council to track down the assassin's killer. Upon being questioned by Obi-Wan and Anakin outside the bar, she is killed by a saberdart, fired by a mysterious man, before the Jedi can learn the name of her employer. They pursue her through Galactic City, eventually disarming her in the Outlander Club. Ten years after the events of The Phantom Menace, the Galactic Republic is in crisis. However, for the first time, a Star Wars film did not earn the highest box-office sales for the year Attack of the Clones ended up fourth behind The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and Spider-Man. The film was a financial success, grossing over $600 million at the worldwide box office. Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones is a 2002 film directed by George Lucas & written by Lucas and Jonathan Hales. I can't wait to finally see it in the theatres (CAN I WAIT?) and then watch the original trilogy yet again." The shroud of the dark side has fallen. John Williams is nothing short of a genius! What an amazing man! Already, the movie has so much more meaning for me because of Episode I. The best climax is when Luke shouts "NOOO!" and jumps out to fight his father in the Final Battle. It's so very touching and significant when you can pick out character themes at different parts of the movie. Harrison Ford - need I say more? The music is once again brilliant. Fisher does a fine job being a female role model (I mean, come on! She killed Jabba even when so many others had failed!). Hamill does an excellent job with his dramatic character development. I don't know how the casting director happened to pick such good actors in A New Hope. He is not entirely machine - he's vulnerable. Vader, the man who hid behind a mask for 20 years, is finally revealed as a sick-looking man. So those of you who are complaining that Vader's helmet was removed, take a moment to think about it. I love how he is revealed at the end - it would be too unresolved any other way. I'm excited for The Phantom Menace because it will suddenly throw the focus of the whole story from Luke to Anakin. Yubb Nubb! This movie always leaves me in tears. I'm sick of people whining about Ewoks! True, they're not the best thing that ever happened to Star Wars, but they DID happen, so deal with it! Besides, they ARE cute, and I don't care if they're marketable.
